Image-to-3D · Prism 3.1 / Tripo v3.1

ForgeBox / 1,000-Triangle Trial

Nine independent reconstructions. Three input strategies × three provider settings. Inspect the regular left vent, the small lightning bolt, and what survives the geometry budget.

9/9 models published · Target ≤1,000 triangles each
R1C1 · Standard824 TRIANGLES

Original Image

Front controls recognizable, but handle and body edges are faceted. Physical-left vent becomes jagged torn-looking geometry instead of regular diagonal slots. The tiny bolt is smeared/ambiguous. Clay confirms malformed vent relief, not clean manufactured openings.

R1C2 · Standard884 TRIANGLES

Generated Hero

Collapsed angular shell and handle; source colors and most front details absent. This is a completed provider result with embedded 2048-pixel color/normal/ORM maps, not a still-loading model. Native budget output, not damage caused by local decimation.

R1C3 · Standard864 TRIANGLES

Generated Multiview

Best of the standard row visually: front layout, handle and diagonal vent pattern survive in texture. Clay shows much of the regular vent pattern is texture/normal-map dependent, not clean cut-through slots. Handle bends and back invents an orange band; corner bolt/band wraps differ from source.

R2C1 · Detailed699 TRIANGLES

Original Image

Most coherent original-input silhouette so far, with less handle distortion than standard. Vent remains diagonal but grooves are overly broad/irregular. Front screen text/controls and warning-band bolt are corrupted; rear labels are invented. Clay shows some vent relief, not verified through-slots.

R2C2 · Detailed915 TRIANGLES

Generated Hero

Provider returned a thin wedge of crumpled, overlapping triangular surfaces rather than the box. Recognizable front/handle/vent layout is lost. Native output is already below the triangle cap; no local decimation caused this collapse.

R2C3 · Detailed845 TRIANGLES

Generated Multiview

Multiview detailed retains the front layout and raised handle, but the handle is angular and vent has dark punctures/irregular patches. Clay loses most regular diagonal vent detail: it is largely texture/normal-map dependent, not verified cut-through geometry. The corner bolt becomes a hash-like symbol and the striped silver band is distorted. Back surface is inferred.

R3C1 · Smart Low-Poly990 TRIANGLES

Original Image

Smart low-poly removed/collapsed the roof and carry handle, leaving giant spike-like planes. Physical-left vent became coarse horizontal louvers rather than regular diagonal slots. Front panel survives only partly; warning decal is lost.

R3C2 · Smart Low-Poly990 TRIANGLES

Generated Hero

Front texture and angular handle remain, but large false cavities cut into the front and upper rear. Physical-left vent has diagonal marks with irregular torn geometry. Clay confirms deep spurious openings; corner band and bolt are distorted.

R3C3 · Smart Low-Poly990 TRIANGLES

Generated Multiview

Raised carry handle is absent and an orange bar appears across the back instead. Physical-left vent pattern disappears; front ports and side surfaces are reinterpreted. Untouched original provider render already shows the missing top handle and wrong layout; local 1809-to-990 triangle reduction is additional simplification, not the root cause.

Read this as a trial, not production approval. Polygons are counted conservatively as triangles. Settings request 1,000 faces; actual delivered GLBs are measured after export/reimport and reduced only if needed. A dark vent visible in a texture is not proof of a geometric opening. Use Geometry Only and the ForgeMedia viewer’s wireframe control to check the distinction.

Original Reference

Original ForgeBox reference with regular diagonal left vent and lightning bolt

Original 4096 × 4096 delivery image is an upscale of an earlier 1254 × 1254 native image. Submitted original-reference input is a full-frame 1024-pixel JPEG; no feature edits.

Jointly Generated Four Views

Single generated 2 by 2 image: front, left, near-top, front-left

Front / left / near-top / front-left. Generated together in one native image call, then split into clean 627 × 627 quadrants. Broad feature placement is consistent; exact slot correspondence, bolt outline and projection alignment remain approximate—not CAD evidence.

Settings, Provenance & Limitations

Standard

Standard geometry + standard textures, geometry-aligned textures. Auto-fix off for single-image inputs.

Detailed

Detailed geometry + detailed textures, original-image-aligned textures. This row changes both detail and alignment; it is a practical option comparison, not a one-variable scientific test.

Smart Low-Poly

Standard geometry + textures, smart low-poly enabled, geometry-aligned textures. Same measured delivery budget.

Columns: original source; generated front-left hero; all four generated quadrant crops submitted as multiview references. No shared seed is claimed. Hidden sides are synthesized. Quad remeshing is disabled; the delivery budget is triangles, not a claim of 1,000 quads.
